Co-Founder & CEO – David Chase Jordan-Fancher
At just 16 years old, Chase is not only a high school junior but a visionary leader determined to improve literacy in underserved communities. As an avid reader and education advocate, he has spent the past three years volunteering with BETA Club, FBLA, and NHS programs, working closely with his peers to make a difference.
Chase envisions a future where no child is left behind in literacy, ensuring that education is accessible, engaging, and empowering. With his dedication to fostering a love for reading, he is committed to shaping a generation of confident and capable learners.
Co-Founder & CFO – Jackson Jordan-Fancher
At 18 years old, Jackson is a high school senior driven by his desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners. Having witnessed the struggles children face in underfunded schools, Jackson has dedicated himself to closing the literacy gap.
As the Co-Founder of the Chinese National Honor Society (CNHS) and a member of FBLA, NSHSS, and NHS, Jackson has always had a heart for helping others. His passion for literacy and education is matched by his creativity and organizational skills, which he brings to the team.
Jackson believes that literacy unlocks endless opportunities, and he is committed to ensuring that every child has the resources they need to reach their full potential.
Co-Founder & COO – Milan Jordan-Fancher
At just 14 years old, Milan has already made a significant impact in the world of education. As a passionate storyteller and mentor, she understands the power of books and tutoring in shaping a child’s future.
Her experience as a tutor for younger students and a member of NJHS has given her firsthand insight into the unique challenges faced by struggling readers. As Chief Operating Officer, Milan plays a key role in building partnerships with schools, libraries, and community centers, ensuring that Illiterate’s programs reach as many children as possible.
Determined to create lasting change, Milan is committed to making literacy support accessible, engaging, and transformative for children who need it most.
